INK donated diesel generator to school in Katangsky district

The 60 kW unit will serve as a back-up power source in the school’s boiler house that heats the building.

“The back-up will be needed in case of shutdown of the central diesel power station in Nepa, to avoid interruption of the education process. The equipment has been unloaded, we will soon proceed to installation,” said Fyodor Grachev, Head of the Public Utilities and Transport Department of the Katangsky district. The district administration also expressed gratitude to Alexandr Naumenko, Head of INK’s Mobile Power Generation Department, for organizing the shipment.

“Over many years, our company has been providing aid to municipal institutions, non-profit organizations and communities of indigenous small-numbered peoples in the Katangsky district. Development of the districts and areas where INK operates is important to us. We are happy to assist in procuring the equipment needed for the school and will keep our commitment to making life better in the district,” said Evgeny Milov, INK’s Managing Director for Legal Work and Regional Policy, member of the Executive Board.

Since its incorporation, INK has been supporting the northern municipalities by investing into construction, repair and procurement of equipment for public facilities. For example, furniture and equipment are regularly procured for schools, hospitals and community centers of the district.

INK also delivers fuel and equipment to ensure uninterrupted work of social welfare institutions in the northern towns and villages, assists in roads maintenance and food supplies to ethnic communities.  

Grant competitions “The Energy of Native Land” and “The District of My Dream” are organized in the district by INK. INK also makes it possible for local residents to have regular health checkups by doctors of the Irkutsk Regional Hospital without leaving their hometowns or villages. The company sponsors and organizes the medical team’s travel and accommodation in the north of the region to conduct the checkups.
