JOGMEC chairman expresses gratitude to INK employees for donations to Japanese disaster relief fund

In response to the tragic events in Japan, Irkutsk Oil Company management and employees reacted by making donations to organizations providing relief and emergency services to victims of the earthquake and tsunami. The initiative called for donating one day’s worth of pay. Donations were collected in the headquarter office as well as in field divisions.

So far over 200 employees have made a contribution of some RUR 300,000 (over $10,000). The company matched the employees’ donations with RUR 450,000 (over $15,000).  Many employees sent their own letters of support and condolences to their colleagues at JOGMEC. Mr. Hirobumi Kavano, Chairman of JOGMEC, sent a letter to INK on behalf of the Japanese people expressing gratitude for the monetary and moral support.
