International festival “The Baikal Talisman” to be held on June 1-10 in Irkutsk with INK’s support

It is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Irkutsk Region, A. Vampilov Youth Theatre and the Russian Culture Development Fund. The festival is the winner of the Presidential grant competition for projects in culture, arts and creative industries.

Several venues will host the activities: N.P. Okhlopkov Irkutsk Drama Theatre, the regional puppet theatre “Aistyonok” and A. Vampilov Youth Theatre. Around 4.5 thousand spectators are expected to attend.

The performances will be staged by 17 theatre ensembles coming from Belarus, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Moscow, Kazan, Kemerovo, Ryazan, Abakan, Kyzil, Cheboksary, Yakutsk and Ulan-Ude. Local theatres will also join the festival: the puppet theatre “Aistyonok”, Irkutsk Drama Theatre, A. Vampilov Youth Theatre, Irkutsk City Theatre of Popular Drama and Bratsk Puppet Theatre. The Baikal Talisman festival was first organized in 2019 at the initiative of A. Vampilov Youth Theatre, with theatre ensembles from Yakutia, Ulaanbaatar, Ulan-Ude and South Korea among participants.
