INK first ranked among Corporate Philanthropy Leaders

Irkutsk Oil Company (INK) appeared in the rating “Corporate Philanthropy Leaders”.

The grantmaking organizations association “Donor Forum” has announced the results of the XVI annual national contest of corporate social responsibility – “Corporate Philanthropy Leaders”. The contest consisted in an expert review resulting in a federal rating of community-minded companies.

Based on the expert assessment and quantitative studies, INK was ranked in the Good Practice category. The rating assessed 43 entities.

INK consistently provides support to the areas where it operates, the North of the Irkutsk Region, among others. To take one example, social investment into the development of the Ust-Kutsky district alone has totaled 1.25 bln roubles over 5 years. The funds were used to build a new hospital unit, for general support to the healthcare system and assistance to social welfare institutions. 

 Significant support is provided by the Charity Fund of Marina Sedykh. The Fund initiates and organizes regular visits of Irkutsk-based doctors to remote localities to conduct health checks and provide medical advice to children. Additional examination in Irkutsk healthcare institutions is sponsored when required. 

 Charitable programs and activities dedicated to specific events — Children’s Day, Schoolbag, Happy New Year!, Victory Day — all have a strong following.

Irkutsk Oil Company (INK) is an independent Russian producer of raw hydrocarbons. The company incorporated in 2000 engages in geological study, exploration and development of 53 subsoil blocks in the Irkutsk Region, Krasnoyarsk Region and Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). In Ust-Kut town, INK is implementing a project consisting of raw hydrocarbons production, treatment, transportation and processing facilities, a helium plant and Irkutsk polymer plant. The INK Group now counts above 15 thousand employees.

Evenk ethnographic park opened in Yerbogachyon with INK’s support Ivano-Matryoninskaya hospital doctors examined around 800 children in Ust-Kut and Verkhnemarkovo with support from Marina Sedykh Fund
