INK signed a cooperation agreement with association of municipalities of Irkutsk Region
The subject of the agreement is the development of local government system, vocational education system, promotion of employment of the Irkutsk Region residents with INK. The purpose of signing the document is to create a comfortable living environment for residents of the northern areas. The counterparties also undertake to promote each other’s interests in their respective relationships with third parties, share information, hold joint events and develop projects and initiatives.
According to the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Irkutsk Region Alexandr Vedernikov, execution of the agreement is a hallmark event. The Government and Legislative Assembly of the Irkutsk Region should address the development of industries and the role of state financing out of the regional and federal budgets in the development of infrastructure for future investment projects. It is therefore emblematic that the continuous cooperation between INK and the association of municipalities of the Irkutsk Region resulted in execution of the agreement.
“In recent years, it has been realized that large business cannot develop independently of the locality where it operates. Synchronization is badly needed now, as paying taxes and creating jobs are just not enough. A dialog with all stakeholders is essential. Our colleagues fr om the association have a huge experience, which they are willing to share with us and the municipalities wh ere we operate,” said Evgeny Milov, INK Managing Director for Legal Affairs and Regional Policy, member of the Executive Board.
The association of municipalities of the Irkutsk Region is a nonprofit organization whose main purposes are related to consolidating and disseminating the best municipal practices, training and upskilling municipal government teams. INK and the association have already proceeded to work under the signed agreement.
