The presentation ceremony was held in Ust-Kut. Published in 100 copies, the book contains a description of more than 40 initiatives brought to life since 2019, as well as illustrations and the teams’ comments.

“The collection book was created on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the grant contest. It may be of use to those planning to submit a project. As practice shows, the initiatives supported by INK bring tangible benefits to the community and improve living standards in the municipalities where they are implemented,” said INK’s Managing Director for Legal Work and Regional Policy, member of the Executive Board Evgeny Milov.

Complimentary copies of the book were presented to active participants of the contests, including the Ust-Kut Supplementary Education Center that won most of the grants, the Historical and Art Museum named after M. Yangel in Zheleznogorsk-Ilimsky that raised co-financing, the “People’s Club” in Irkutsk whose project received the widest media coverage.

INK’s grants help local residents in implementing projects in the field of education, sports, culture, environmental protection, preservation of traditions, and support indigenous communities and people with disabilities.

Every year, non-profit, budgetary and community organizations of the Ust-Kutsky, Nizhneilimsky, Kirensky and Katangsky districts take part in the contests “The District of My Dream” and “The Energy of Native Land”, joined by the Mirninsky district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in 2023. A total of 275 entries have been received and around 70 projects supported with grants over the years that the contests are held.
