Irkutsk Region’s Governor Sergei Eroshchenko visited Irkutsk Oil Company’s properties
At the end of August 2012, during the official visit to Ust’-Kut district, Mr. Sergey Eroshchenko visited the Yaraktinsky oil and gas condensate field. He noted that Irkutsk Oil Company has already begun a project of gasification which is ready to partake in the East Siberian and Far Eastern Development Program. As Mr. Sergey Eroshchenko noticed, the Company is ready to supply gas to Ust’-Kut utilities, and this undertaking should be supported by the government.
During the trip, Mr. Sergey Eroshchenko and the Group’s CEO Mrs. Marina Sedykh visited the Oil Treatment Facility as well as the St. Nicholas Church recently built at the field. They also visited the compressor station and the control room of the Gas Cycling Facility that enables gas re-injection. Eroschenko and Sedykh also went to see the uploading facilities at the ESPO tie-in point near Markovsky field, where oil is exported through the East Siberia – Pacific Ocean (ESPO) pipeline. It is worthy to mention that this was the first Governor’s visit to the Company’s oilfields.
New regional government is seeking to support the further development of the oil and gas industry, as it generates tax revenues for the local budgets and creates new jobs. Helping the community is also very important to Irkutsk Oil Company. Every year, the Company helps small northern communities and villages by purchasing medical equipment and other necessary goods.
