The Irkutsk Oil Company, Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC), Toyo Engineering Corporation (Japan), and the ITOCHU Corporation (Japan) will co-operate on the second stage of the feasibility study, aimed at securing the production of ‘blue’ ammonia in Eastern Siberia and its supply to Japan. The first stage of the feasibility study was completed last year.

OOO “Irkutsk Oil Company” launches first solar-powered well
OOO “Irkutsk Oil Company” has unveiled the first solar-powered well. A linear telemechanics system, powered by renewable energy sources — solar batteries — was installed at one of the cluster pads of the Yaraktinskoe oil and gas condensate field. There are ten units.
