The seventh season of the Irkutsk Oil Company (IOC) educational project "IOC Academy" has come to an end in Irkutsk.

For three months, students in grades 7-11 attended classes in mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, and Russian, as well as preparatory courses for the CSE and USE exams. The seventh season's program also included courses in 3D modeling, robotics, graphic design, scientific conferences, and lectures, including those given by teachers from the Irkutsk Institute of Chemistry named after A. E. Favorsky, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

For the first time, seven students presented their reports at the IOC scientific and technical conference, and three of them became winners. In addition, the students made it to the finals of the National Technology Olympiad (NTO), where Academy participant Polina Sharipova became a prize winner. Three other Academy students won in the "Best Youth Project" category at the Interregional Scientific and Technical Conference "Gen&Um."

At the end of the season, the distinguished students were awarded diplomas and gifts. In addition, all graduates of the program will receive additional points to their Unified State Examination (USE) results when applying to Irkutsk State University (ISU), as well as a discount on tuition at the university's college.

The IOC Academy is a joint project between IOC and ISU, launched in March 2022. The program introduces schoolchildren to sought-after professions in the oil and gas industry, provides new knowledge and skills, as well as useful experience for their portfolios. Over seven seasons, more than 2,000 schoolchildren have participated in the project. Training is conducted in a mixed format – in person and online. You can join the project on the IOC website.
