Irkutsk Oil Company (INK) received 119 applications as part of the annual grant competition “Energy of Native Land”.

Traditionally, the participants were non-profit, budgetary and public organizations from Ust-Kutsky, Nizhneilimsky, Kirensky, Katangsky districts of the Irkutsk Region, as well as the Mirninsky District of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Applications for grants are submitted by new contestants and winners of previous years who are implementing or have already implemented initiatives. For the first time, the Lensky District of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is participating in the contest, having submitted 10 applications.

The projects cover different areas: education, sports, culture, ecology, preservation of traditional culture and support for indigenous minorities of the North. In accordance with the National Inclusion Compact, which Irkutsk Oil Company joined in October 2023, a portion of the applications are directed under a new category - creating an accessible environment for people with disabilities.

All applications are currently undergoing peer review. The winners will be announced at the end of January 2025. In addition to financial support, the winners will receive consulting assistance in the implementation of their projects.
