Students from the Irkutsk Oil Company (IOC) corporate group at the Ust-Kut Industrial Technical School (a structural subdivision of IKATiDS) successfully completed their training.

Twenty-two students completed the program, specializing in instrumentation and automation. The final stage was a demo exam at the Irkutsk Polymer Plant. Now, graduates are guaranteed employment at the enterprise with the status of "young specialist."

The training lasted two years and followed a special curriculum developed by the technical college in collaboration with IOC. The program included specialized courses with an emphasis on industrial safety, ecology, and corporate values. In addition to theory, students completed paid internships at IOC production facilities, including the Irkutsk Polymer Plant.

The second corporate group is continuing their training at the technical college. The admission campaign for the new year will last until August 15 and will start in several areas of training: "Heat Supply and Heating Equipment," "Operation and maintenance of electrical and electromechanical equipment (by industry)," which offers the opportunity to obtain the following blue-collar professions: "Electrician for Repair and Maintenance of Electrical Installations," "Instrumentation and Control Mechanic," "Boiler Operator," and other related professions in demand at the company.

This year, IOC became an employer-partner of the fuel and energy cluster of the federal project "Professional Degree." The Irkutsk College of Automotive Transport and Road Construction (IKATiDS) was selected as the base organization of the cluster, a structural subdivision of which is the Ust-Kut Industrial Technical School. Starting September 1, 2026, the technical school will launch new practice-oriented educational programs. IOC will provide support in equipping modern laboratories and will provide students with internships at its facilities. Preparations are currently underway to launch the programs: training management teams, purchasing equipment, and creating new training areas.

Participation in the Professional Degree project will allow students to master sought-after professions in the oil and gas industry and obtain guaranteed employment at leading enterprises in the region. This is part of IOC's comprehensive School-University-IOC program for training young specialists, which has been implemented since 2018.
