Since the launch of the industrial tourism program in 2021, more than 2,000 people have visited the Irkutsk Oil Company (INK) production facilities in Ust-Kut. This includes 800 visitors in 2024.

Irkutsk Polymer Plant in Ust-Kut became the main object of the program. The tours were popular among local residents, as well as residents of Moscow, Ufa, Kazan, Mineralnye Vody, Perm and other cities. The program is aimed at a wide audience - schoolchildren, students, local residents, journalists, bloggers, and business representatives.

For example, in October 2024, potential investors visited Ust-Kut and Irkutsk Polymer Plant as part of the development of a master plan for the district, initiated by Irkutsk Oil Company, and tourism experts from the BAM Tourist Forum headquarters. They noted the prospects for tourism development. Irkutsk Polymer Plant, health recuperation resources, the only railroad bridge over the Lena River, as well as gastronomic tourism and natural attractions were identified as key points of attraction.

During the tour, participants learn about the production process, environmental safety measures and employment prospects at the plant. The program includes a safety briefing, issuance of personal protective equipment, a visit to process units, as well as an overview of the shift camp with its social infrastructure (canteen, gym, recreation room).

The successful implementation of the program is also confirmed by the inclusion of INK's excursion route in the industrial tourism guidebook of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and by the company's award in the PROMdostoyanie nomination at the II All-Russian Accelerator for the best practice of organizing an industrial excursion in the oil and gas industry.
