Irkutsk Oil Company (INK) will support the establishment of a Youth House in Ust-Kut.

The Company will assist in preparing an application from the Ust-Kut municipality for the All-Russian contest of integrated development programs in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation “Region for the Young” by the Rosmolodezh authority, and will also provide partial financing for the project.

The creation of a multifunctional center is planned at 20 Novaya St. It is a three-story brick building with a total area of 1530 square meters. The modern space will house a coworking, game rooms, creative workshops, career guidance space, cyber arena, podcast studio, media studio, food court area, quest rooms and VR space.

- Now we are preparing an application for the next year to receive a subsidy “Region for the Young” by Rosmolodezh, in 2026 we will be able to start equipping the youth center with furniture and equipment. As a reminder, earlier we opened Youth Houses under the national project “Education” in Irkutsk, Cheremkhovo, and Ust-Ilimsk. And we intend to continue this work,” said Margarita Tsyganova, Minister of Youth Policy of the Irkutsk Region.

When developing the project, proposals and wishes of the youth of Ust-Kut were taken into account.

The creation of the Youth House is a logical continuation of our work in Ust-Kut, where we are already implementing a number of projects aimed at supporting the younger generation. We are confident that this center will become a place of attraction for young people, helping them to realize their potential,” said Olga Kharina, Director of the Department for Regional Policy and Interaction with State Authorities of Irkutsk Oil Company.

This is not the first initiative of Irkutsk Oil Company to support the youth of Ust-Kut. The Company regularly holds grant competitions in which young people actively participate to improve the territory, organizes excursions to its production facilities and supports educational projects. For example, in Ust-Kut, on the basis of school No. 9, an INK-class has been opened since 2018, where high school students study physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science in-depth, as well as take additional courses to prepare for the Unified State Examination. During the entire period of the educational project 113 people became graduates, most of them became students of specialized universities on a budget-sponsored basis. Some of them have completed their internships and are employed by the company.

In addition, the Marina Sedykh Fund annually supports talented young people in the Ust-Kutsky district: it organizes creative events and helps children participate in all-Russian competitions.
