The scientific and technical conference of the Irkutsk Oil Company (IOC) identified more than 40 promising projects for implementation. The best of them will be implemented in production.

The conference was held in Irkutsk from April 16 to 18, 2025. It was attended by employees of the IOC Group, students of IOC educational programs, interns, students, young professionals, and others. The winners were 44 people in four categories: Scientific and Technical Development, Business Idea, Best Practice, and Best Youth Project. The projects are aimed at optimizing production processes, improving resource efficiency, introducing innovative solutions, etc.

The winner of the grand prize is Stanislav Sadovsky, chief specialist in process modeling at Irkutsk Polymer Plant. He spoke in the Production Facility Operation section about a project to convert the condensate stabilization unit of the natural and associated petroleum gas treatment plant at the Yaraktinskoye field into a diesel fuel treatment plant. The specialist also won a grant of 300,000 rubles for training.

A record 224 applications were submitted to participate in the conference (36 more than in 2024), 48 of which were from external participants. For the first time, the annual IOC Youth Festival was held as part of STC-2025, with company ambassadors giving speeches and a separate nomination category for young people being introduced. Two new sections have been added to the traditional seven: Chemical Technology and Production Efficiency and New Technologies. In addition, a case championship was held at the event venue, with 50 teams participating. The winning team received a cash prize, souvenirs, and the opportunity to meet with IOC management.

– We have been working on improving operational efficiency for many years. The scientific and practical conference is part of this program. All proposals put forward on this platform are aimed at improving and changing both organizational activities and production and technological processes. Many projects that were recognized as the best at previous conferences not only received recognition but were also successfully implemented in production. Some ideas have become separate areas of the company's work, noted Victoria Ilyukhina, Deputy General Director for Human Resources Management.

The scientific and technical conference is an important part of IOC's corporate culture. The event has been running since 2016. За весь период было представлено более 300 работ.
