On April 6, 2010, INK and the Irkutsk Region government signed an addendum to their agreement on social and economic cooperation. In 2010, Irkutsk Oil Company (INK) plans to transfer 450 million rubles (approx. $150,000) by way of taxes and dues to the budget.

In 2010, Irkutsk Oil Company (INK) plans to transfer 450 million rubles (approx. $150,000) by way of taxes and dues to the budget. On April 6, 2010, INK and the Irkutsk Region government signed an addendum to their agreement on social and economic cooperation. The document was signed by Dmitry Mezentsev, Irkutsk Region Governor, and Marina Sedykh, General Director of INK. Under this Additional Agreement, INK committed to finance social programs to be undertaken in Irkutsk Region for up to 10.6 million rubles in 2010 (full list of social initiatives provided below). Some initiatives have already been undertaken in the first quarter of 2010. In April, furniture was purchased for the village of Erbogachen boarding school. Some 32 tons of high quality condensate were supplied for the needs of local people and indigenous minorities of the ‘Tokma’ community at no charge. Hunters use this gas condensate as motor fuel for boats and snowmobiles. A diesel power station was provided to the village of Ika in the municipality of Nepsky where electricity was unavailable due to a lack of diesel. A new engine for the village of Verkhnemarkovo in the Ust’-Kut district was purchased. The company also transferred money to the Association of the Blind and the Ust’-Kut district World War II Veterans’ Organization.
